TRADITIONAL BUILDING SKILLS TRAINING, COB & MASONRY
Greenslade Restoration & Renovation has made it their business to teach and maintain the skills required to continue our building heritage in the Devon, Somerset and Cornwall area.

Traditional masonry and cob work skills are harder to find these days.  At Greenslade Restoration & Renovation we combine these skills with modern techniques to get the best of both worlds.  We take great pleasure in teaching others traditional building skills such as cob and masonry work.

We feel it is important to invest in the apprenticeship scheme, this commitment ensures a continuation of qualified workforce.  The basic training undertaken by the college is further enhanced by our in-house training.  Many aspects of our work is only taught in theory to these students at college, whereas we are able to train them on a practical level.  This level of commitment is already showing dividends.  Our most recently qualified mason Ben Jenkinson has demonstrated a real aptitude in his trade and was recognised for this by winning the West Brick Cup for best overall tradesman in 2008.
