COB WORK
Cob walls are generally built by mixing straw, clay and water.  Once mixed, which can be very hard work, if done by hand, it then pitched up into place, packed and trodden into place. Paring off may then take place later.

Cob is a marvellous natural source which at times can have its problems.  Understand what it is and respect it.
